That kindof looks like what happens in Halo (the first one mind you) when you crash on the ring, surrounded by aliens. Also @ Fontane everything is getting a little bit old nowadays, because everythinging the world of gaming has alredy been done.

Aliens can be cool but why not just put people if you're gonna put zombies. If zombies are dead and you want live things, there you go.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but again, the genre is so old and it's been done to a great standard multiple times and its just sickening to play new games like this, especially with the art direction you are currently taking. I hope you enjoy making this game however, but I'm warning you in advance it PROBABLY won't do much better than any existing topdown shooters online already.
Don't worry, I am making this game because there is new elements to it. You won't be disappointed.

Such as Peanut butter and Monsters and Sex, but everyone still enjoys them. The new elements will be with the game play.

And Zombies are much cooler than aliens. But anyway, both are often used; especially for top-view shooters.

I don't want to disappointed you,but there are NO element you can put in the game.
there are so many "twists"on those games,that another one will be simply the same.
unless,of course,you won't actually gonna do a shooting game,but another genre
P.S. @ Louissi (absorbing if he will answer me :|): I just want to ask you, if there will be a map editor for neon rider? :( You said you will add one if the game is a succes. It has many views and a good rating, but you started working on a new game, so im not sure :(
@ masamu: I think you are right... There are so many topview shooter games and the differences between them are very small, although some of them have really nice ideas. Its important for Planet Noevo (Növo ? ^^'') to have great ideas and many new elements (although they are hard to find, ok, you said impossible to put in). It would be horrible if it would have a campaign with many missions and thats it... In that case, it would be one of thousands usual top-view shooters :(
It would be boring after 2 missions... It needs just many weapons (with many ideas and charakteristics*), many enemies (again with many ideas and charakteristics!**) and a cool storyline! I hate this small texts before each mission in the usual top view shooters.
* not only charakterisics... additional ideas too! Something like this: The first shoots, the chaingun has a low firing speed, and then its inreasing slowly. The charakterisics are obvious... loading time, spreading width, range and so on ...
* again XD: not only charakteristics - we need additional ideas too! Maybe some units sneak up to the player and they are diaphanous... if they are in the near of the player, the become intransparent. Or units that shoot something indefinable which is poisenous ^^ The charakteristics are obvious, here too: speed, damage, HP, the way they attack and so on ...

Programming a game is hard, difficult and complex work... telling something about the results of programming with going into much detail is not bad, its helpful.
I dont say louissi and his games arent great. They are great, or at least the main idea behind.
Will tis be more of a defense game, adventure game or a stand in one place killing everything that is stupid enough to walk your direction type of game?
Also is this similar to what you showed us in entry #16?

do you know what i say you are all prejudging hes game you think it might be not as good but you never know this could be a bigger game the age of war 1/2.
