Is there any way you can update the version on there site? Then you would have a multiplayer version and you would be able to win in a court battle. Also the contract said that you would be payed more then what you go witch is ok because there was no multiplayer. Of course your second idea is also good.

You still owe them the multiplayer version in the contract, so you would have problems if trying to prove that the contract lasted 1 year, but there is no second contract right? So then they dont own the game. You and Max Games (a bunch of assholes in my opinion) HAvent fullfiled the contract. But theres still hope, you could just make another game with similiar name or stuff, In my opinion, dont get involved in a legal battle that would drain a lot of money and a lot of time from you.
Luck to you Louissi, youre games have always being epic. i always sort of looked forward to a sequel for worms.... FINISH THAT STORY :P but nevertheless youre a great game maker.
P.S. : you can find yourself a Lawyer girlfriend and have her solve the problem and please you at the same time, for free! :D

That sucks. Get some legal advice... if you have a lawyer talk to him/her about it.

Capitalism sucks.

You are my hero Louissi.

I link it to Armorgames ^^

It's sad how big game sponsors, companies and other organizations get that blinded by capitalism. And unfair ...

Yup, Belugerin SUCKS.

This is a sad day for mankind. Perhaps you'll get lucky and the jury/judge played your game and loved it.

Sorry for the double comment, but couldn't you just keep adding updates to Age of War 2?

I would not be paid. Gotta pay the bills man.

Truthfully i never EVER like any of the game that came out of max games, yours was the only exception, and i believe that if you have a copy of the contract that proves that it said 1 year period before you can release another age of war, if you bring it to court they will be knock down on there asses and have to pay what you ask for them so if they sue, counter sue.

Contracts seem to serve no purpose but bitting artists in the ass.

Max Games can go to hell! You worked your ass on that, no question about it, and they think they can rub this in your face? !@#$ THE POLICE AND WHAT NOT! You got my support!

We could boycott their asses. Rate any of their games in the portal (besides AoW) 0/5. blam all their new games, never ever ever go to their website, give bad reviews/scores to their games on other websites (Such as AddictingGames), etc. Stickin' it to the man, you know?

Sorry for double post, but on the part of blamming their new games, I'm sorry for the actual author, but hey, we need to prove a point. We want rights to make games as we please.

I don't believe other authors should be blammed. If you do not like Max Games, just don't go on their website. They don't gain money from games on other sites. Its just a way to get you to their site. Thats how sponsorship works. Its just a big publicity to attract you, which is great since it gives us the opportunity to make money. However, if people don't go to their site they pay for nothing.

"Belugerin games are heavily inspired by age of war but they are not good. "

HAHAHhahaahaha lol.

Hey man , don't let them corporate puppets keep you down .

You have right, and I support you.

I'm not a good programmer, or artist, but if you needed help in something small, ask.

what is max games?

nothing

Fucking cunts, i should download LOIC and bandwidth rape to and fuck their shit up for treating you like this.

I find that alot of artists are so enamored by the lavish amounts of money thrown at them, that they dont really read the fine print, or the exact terms of what they are agreeing to. So they will literally sell their soul without realizing it.

But yeah I tend to agree with i-smel on it, id just let it go and reinvent yourself and make that franchise even better than its previous incarnation. It'll be their loss really. They may have bought that one franchise but they could never buy your creative thinking and ability, so yea just run to clearer pastures. I'd avoid calling it age of anything frankly. Look at it as a chapter in your life that you learned a lesson from and became better for it. Start fresh.

I think its kinda childish to make a blatant spinoff just for the sake of getting back at a shitty sponsor. Like its counterproductive, youre wasting your time to get back at a sponsor that probably doesnt really give a shit about you and have found some starry-eyed kid to cradle and piggy back on. The consumer doesnt care about all that nonsense, in the end they just want a solid game.

I understand some of your points. However, a similar game with a twist would be a way to re-gain my players and would not be a loss of time since it would be a good game and would please many players.

Also, I don't really understand what you are saying when you say I didn't really read the details and the fine print. I did. However, Max Games changed the deal in their head, not on paper. And now that they have more money than my, they can sue and expect me to bow. Thats the situation here. If there was any paper I signed that says they are in the rights to stop me from making any sequel, I would shut up and accept it.

However thats not the case. I did learn from this, but I think my major mistake is not choosing a good business partner rather than not understanding what I was getting into.

I like the Army of Ages idea, as far as I am aware it would be completely legal. Also, MaxGames are douches.
